🐛 Known Issues / TODOs in Code
OmniKeyService.kt
loadAppSpecificSettings()- empty stub- Missing
android.content.Intentimport - Language switcher not implemented
SwipeEngine.kt
findBestMatch()- returns raw key sequence, needs dictionary lookup- No gesture trail smoothing
- No multi-stroke word recognition
MLEngine.kt
- Handwriting recognition not implemented
- OCR not implemented
- No model download progress tracking
SoundHelper.kt
- Sound files not included (R.raw.click, etc.)
- Needs asset creation or source
KeyboardView.kt
- Entire file missing - most critical gap
All UI Activities
- No layout XML files
- No ViewModel classes
- No Fragment navigation
🚀 To Run Current Code
Will NOT work yet because KeyboardView doesn't exist. Service will crash on onCreateInputView().
To make it minimally functional:
- Create stub KeyboardView.kt:
class KeyboardView(context: Context) : View(context) {
private var keyListener: ((String, KeyType) -> Unit)? = null
private var swipeListener: ((SwipePath) -> Unit)? = null
private var gestureListener: ((GestureType) -> Unit)? = null
fun setOnKeyListener(listener: (String, KeyType) -> Unit) { keyListener = listener }
fun setOnSwipeListener(listener: (SwipePath) -> Unit) { swipeListener = listener }
fun setOnGestureListener(listener: (GestureType) -> Unit) { gestureListener = listener }
fun applyTheme(theme: KeyboardTheme) { }
fun updateSuggestions(predictions: List<String>) { }
fun toggleShift() { }
fun showEmojiPanel() { }
fun showSymbolLayout() { }
fun showNumberLayout() { }
}
- Create stub MainActivity.kt
- Build & install
- Enable keyboard in settings
- Keyboard will show blank screen but service logic will run
